Marj Rees Safety Consultancy is a sole trader business. 

Work History

Marj has been involved in health and safety since 1978 when she joined the RAF. Originally trained in Environmental Health, safety quickly became a specialism. 

After leaving the RAF she worked for Oxford City Council as an asbestos surveyor compiling an asbestos register for all asbestos content in council owned properties.

She has worked as a Safety Manager and Enforcement Officer for a large local authority before taking up employment as a consultant some 12 years ago.

For the last two years she has been operating as a self employed consultant offering advisory services across a range of business sectors to local companies who do not want the constraints of a fixed contract or be burdened by high costs.

Marj has been registered as a Chartered Member of IOSH for over 20 years and is a Registered Safety Practitioner.

Marj also holds a Diploma in Health and Safety as well as qualifications to undertake poratble appliance testing, legionella checks and noise at work reports.

Marj is registered on the OSHCR with the HSE.
